Ingredients

  • French baguette or Italian bread:1 loaf
  • ripe tomatoes:2 cups
  • bell peppers:1 cup
  • cucumber:1/2 cup
  • fresh basil leaves:1/4 cup
  • extra virgin olive oil:3 tbsp
  • balsamic vinegar:1 tsp
  • salt:to taste
  • black pepper:to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F. Slice the baguette into 1/2-inch thick slices and arrange on a baking sheet. Toast in the oven for about 5 minutes until golden and crunchy.
