This Mango Lassi is one of those simple pleasures that tastes like sunshine in a glass. Ripe mangoes blended with creamy yogurt, a little milk to loosen, and honey for gentle sweetness make a silky drink that’s perfect for hot afternoons or as a cooling finish to a spicy meal.

I love adding a pinch of ground cardamom for warmth and a squeeze of lime to brighten the flavors. It comes together in minutes and feels both indulgent and wholesome — serve it ice-cold with a sprig of mint for an easy crowd-pleaser.

Ingredients

  • Ripe mangoes, peeled and chopped:2 pieces
  • Plain yogurt (whole-milk or Greek):1 1/2 cups
  • Milk:1/2 cup
  • Honey (or maple syrup):2 tbsp
  • Fresh lime juice:1 tbsp
  • Ground cardamom:1/4 tsp
  • Salt:1 pinch
  • Ice cubes:1 cup
  • Fresh mint leaves (for garnish):8 pieces

Instructions

  1. Place chopped mango, yogurt, milk, honey, lime juice, cardamom, and a pinch of salt in a blender.

  2. Add ice cubes and blend on high until perfectly smooth and creamy, about 30–45 seconds. Taste and adjust sweetness or lime as needed.

Tips & Notes

  • For extra silkiness, use full-fat Greek yogurt and very ripe mangoes — Ataulfo or Alphonso varieties are ideal if available.
  • Make it dairy-free by swapping yogurt for coconut yogurt and milk for almond milk; adjust sweetness to taste.
